Angelo was once heralded as a prodigy, but so far he has not lived up to that billing. He was a 1st round pick of the Penguins in 2007 and was later traded as part of the Marian Hossa deal. He has yet to play in the NHL thus far and is having a dismal season with the Chicago Wolves with 10 points through 43 games. This is my 4th all-time success with Angelo. This card is the 51st for myy 2009-10 Heroes and Prospect set.

Greg played over 700 NHL games and did the little things well, even though he wasn't a very flashy player, he got the job done. He served as the second captain in Nashville Predators history between 2002 and 2006. He has also scored a goal before a game ever started as he did so isn the game when Red Wings defenseman Jiri Fischer suffered cardiac arrest. The game wass posponed after that incident and the whole game was replayed, but Nashville started the game witha 1-0 lead. Sounds like something out of a game of road hockey when one team has better players. Thank you Greg for the autograph!

Its not every day that you see a player listed at 5'6" play in the NHL but David is defying all odds and doing to with the Montreal Canadiens. He is a great scorer and he is even putting up decent numbers in the NHL with 13 points in 22 games. I wish him the best of luck with his career and a big thank you for signing my cards.

My cousin plays AAA hockey and he got the chance to play against Al MacInnis' son, so he approached him after the game and asked if he could sign some cards for him. Al did sign and my cousin gave me one of the doubles that he got. He said Al couldn't have been nicer and signed and talked to any person who wanted to.

Gilles was a junior standout but it didn't translate to the pro game as he showed flashes of brilliance in the NHL and WHA. He was occasionally hot between the pipes but was better known as an eccentric figure who painted wild designs or animal faces on his masks and was outspoken throughout his career. He retired at the young age of 24.

Jeremy was considered one of Cleveland's top pitching prospects but never florished as a starter for the Tribe. He was picked up by Baltimore and has become a very good pitcher with great stuff. He is usually overlooked since he plays in one of baseball's toughest divisions. His season has been up and down but he has began to settle in and will likely become a tough #1 or 2 pitcher for the O's. Jeremy was so kind to sign all 3 cards that I sent him. He must have took the time to read my letter also as he personalized all the cards to me and wrote an awesome inscription on my postcard. That is one of the things that makes TTM autographs so great, the autograph isn't just a generic scribble but he took the time to make it a very cool collectable. Brad has always been a great signer along with a very good catcher. He has made stops in San Diego, Detroit, Houston, and is currently playing for the Dodgers. Last night I busted 3 H&P arena (retail boxes) of different years. The power went out so I couldn't post it. I bought the cards from Dacardworld and as a free gift I was able to also get 6 packs of last years MVP. The H&P boxes were about $20 a piece and I couldn't resist. I also really just wanted the base cards. Sorry but nothing is for trade. The odds were inserts 1:10 or 1:12 and the autos were 1:48 also there were no GU cards inserted into retail boxes

Ted Lindsay is a Red Wings Legend. "Terrible Ted" as he was known played 17 seasons in the NHL from 1944-1965. He played 14 seasons with the Wings and 3 with the Blackhawks. He was part of "The Production Line" which was made up of Gordie Howe and Sid Abel and himself. He has 379 goals and 851 points in his career. Ted won 4 Stanley Cups and was selected to 9 All-Star games. He also won a Memorial Cup with the Oshawa Generals when he played junior hockey. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1966 and his #7 hangs from the rafters at the Joe Louis Arena. Mr. Lindsay was kind enough to sign the 5 cards I sent him and also included a signed pamphelet from the Canada Stamp that he was featured on. He signed everything in 48 days. Codey Burki is a center for the Lake Erie Monsters. He was drafted in the 2nd round 59th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche. He played for the Brandon Wheat Kings and had 74 goals and 181 points in 263 games. In the 2006 Top Prospect he had a game winning goal and an assist. He was named Team Orr's player of the game. So far Codey has struggled and has been up and down between the AHL and ECHL. He was so kind so sign 3 items for me, 2 Heroes and Propect cards and 1 2006 Draft card in 68 days. Claude Giroux - Hockey

In today's mailbox was Claude Giroux a prospect for the Philadelphia Flyers. He now plays for the Philadelphia Phantoms of the AHL but formerly played for the Gatineau Olympic of the QMJHL. Claude scored 125 goals and over 300 points while playing in the Q. He was drafted by the Flyers in the 1st round 22nd overall in the 2006 draft after scoring 112 points in 63 games in his draft year. He was one of the most exposive players in the league and has 19 points in the AHL thus far this season. He made his NHL debut February 19, 2008 for the Flyers but has yet to score a point in the NHL. Claude was kind enough to sign 5 items for me 2 2007-08 H&P, 1 2006-07 H&P, 1 2008-09 Victory Rookie and 1 2006 draft card. John Negrin - Hockey

Yesterday I was able to acquire Calgary Flames prospect John Negrin's autograph. John plays defence for the Kootenay Ice of the WHL. He has 3 goals and 16 assists this season so far. He has tripled his goal total from last year. He had 41 assists last season and the Calgray Flames saw enough potential to draft him in the 3rd round 70th overall in teh 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He was able to represtent Canada in the World Under-18 Champioships where he got an assist on a game tying goal scored by Colton Gillies against the USA. Skate with the Spits today which meant a lot of people waiting after the game so I didn't ask certain players as I could tell that they were pissed. Its understandable I wouldn't want 15 little kids grabbing me and yelling and screaming.

A Win on Sunday

On Sunday I went down to Windsor Arena to see the Spitfires take on the Peterborough Petes in the second last game at The Barn. Petes star and hometown kid Zack Kassian came to town and had a great showing. He is said to be top 15 talent for this years draft. While he had a good game with a goal and a fight. His team played awful losing 5-2 to the Spitfires. There was 3 scraps in the game, first a very dissapointing bout between Kassian and Greenop when Kassian just went for the takedown. second round was up and coming fan favourite Adam Wallace vs. Jack Walchessen, where Wallace won after destroying him by landing a multitude of right hands. After the game I saw Jack and he had a golf ball size welt on his cheek. The last one was Harry Young versus Zach Harden, where Young got the win in this captain vs. captain bout. Harry was kicked out of the game for having tape on his hand though. It was a great game and nice to see Steve Gleeson get his first win at the old barn.

Graphing the Petes

Tomorrow I will be going down to the old barn to hound the Peterborough Petes. This will probably my last game graphing at Windsor Arena as they will be moving into the WFCU center on Dec 11. This will become uncharted territory, hopefully is will be as easy as Windsor Arena was. This year I prepared for the Petes by loading up on their goalie Trevor Cann, but about a month ago he was traded to the London Knights. They did aquire Sergei Korostin in the trade which was good. My goal is to get all 4 possible draft cards signed by the Petes along with two 8x10 and some other custom 7th Inning sketch cards. Also I will be going after the Spitfires but I always have way to much stuff for them. Maybe I will finally be able to aquire an autograph from the elusive Bob Boughner and Warren Rychel. It should be a madhouse for Zack Kassian as he will be coming to play in his hometown. Sadly the news came out today the New York Islanders first rounder Joshua Bailey will not be returning to Windsor this season :(

Cory Schneider TTM Success

Cory is a goalie for the Manitoba Moose and a prospect for the Vancouver Canucks. Cory played at Boston College and had an impressive career there and was selected to Hockey East's All-Rookie Team in 2005, he also has the Boston College single season shutout record with 8. He won 65 games in a BC sweater and was drafted in the 1st round 26 overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by Vancouver. As of now he has won 31 games in the AHL and is currently called up by Vancouver though he has yet to play a game. He is a highly rated prospect for the Canucks. Zach Boychuk TTM Success

Today's mailbox had the Carolina Hurricanes first round draft pick and Lethbridge Hurricanes star Zach Boychuk. Zach played two games for Carolina before being sent down to his junior club. As of today Zach has scored over 100 goals in his 4 years in the WHL which is very impressive. Last year in 61 games Zach scored a career high 33 goals for a total of 72 points. This was good enough for Carolina to draft his with the 14th overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Zach has 16 points in 14 games so far and is on pace for another great season. Zach was kind enough to sign 6 items for me 2 Heroes and Prospects for my set, 1 O Canada card and 1 2008 Draft card for another set im building, he also signed 2 Index cards which I used to protect the cards I sent him. This took 28 days and I sent them to the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Thank you very much Zach and best of luck with your career in hockey.

Linden Rowat TTM Success

Linden is the goalie for the Regina Pats of the WHL. He is a butterfly style goalie who is a good puck handler and is good at staying square to the shooters. Linden was runner up in the 2007-08 WHL goaltender of the year award. During his draft year he was 25-18-7 and it was enough for the Kings to draft him in the 4th round 124th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Linden posted a 33-15-6 record last year and is have a strong season so far being 9-3-2. Linden signed 4 items for me, 2 Between the Pipes cards, 1 picture card and a 2007 Draft card for my set in 14 days. Thank you very much Linden and best of luck.

Windsor vs Soo 11/23/2008

Went to see Windsor play the Soo Greyhounds. It wasn't really much of a game as Windsor absolutely destroyed the Soo 12-1. It was 4-0 after the first period and guys who usually rarely score lit the lamp. While Windsor was scoring a season high goals I was aquiring a season high for autographs. Jordan Nolan plays for the Soo and he is a former Spitfire, his dad Ted Nolan was in attendance and I asked him to sign my puck which he did and we talked for a bit about his sons in hockey. A really great guy.

Jimmy Howard TTM Success

Jimmy started out his career playing for the U.S. National Development program which he than accepted a scholarship to the University of Maine. After winning Hockey East Rookie of the Year he was drafted in the 2nd round by he Detroit Red Wings 64th overall. He is the only goalie to face a penalty shot in his fist two NHL games. As of November 22, 2008 Jimmy has played 8 NHL games in a Red Wings uniform he as a record of 1-4 with a 2.56 GAA.
